Accessibility

This website is designed so that everyone can use it: people with poor eyesight, people who are not confident online, and people who browse only with a keyboard or a screen reader.

Help available

  • Large text. Open the globe button in the header and turn on “Large text”: the text gets bigger on every page. Your browser remembers this setting.
  • More contrast. In the same panel, “More contrast” makes secondary text darker, underlines links and outlines boxes.
  • Browser zoom. Press Ctrl and + (Cmd and + on a Mac) to enlarge the whole website up to 400% without having to scroll sideways.
  • Quick search. Use the magnifying glass button or press Ctrl/Cmd + K on any page.
  • Keyboard. You can do everything with Tab, Enter and Escape. There is a “Skip to content” link at the top of every page, and the focus is always visible.
  • Screen readers. Page regions, headings in order, labels on form fields, and a warning when a link opens in a new tab.
  • Less motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations are switched off.
  • By phone and in person. Anything you can do on the website you can also do by calling 93 897 10 01 or at the Town Hall offices.

Accessibility statement

Torrelles de Foix Town Council is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with Spanish Royal Decree 1112/2018 of 7 September on the accessibility of public sector websites and mobile applications. This statement applies to the website torrellesdefoix.cat.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) due to the exceptions listed below.

Non-accessible content

  • Older PDF documents (minutes, decrees, notices and terms of calls for applications published before 2026) may not be tagged or readable by screen readers. If you need one, ask us and we will send it to you in an accessible format.
  • Embedded maps (OpenStreetMap) do not have a full text alternative. Addresses and directions are always given as text on the same page.
  • Videos on the Town Council's YouTube channel may not have subtitles or audio description.
  • External portals (e-office, E-Tauler, E-Notum, ORGT, Wikiloc) have their own accessibility statements and are not part of this website.

How it was checked

Internal review in September 2026: automated checks of the contrast of all colours in the design system (at least 4.5:1 for text and 3:1 for component outlines), heading order, form labels, link and button names, text alternatives for images, and reflow at 320 pixels; plus manual checks of keyboard navigation, visible focus and use with large text and high contrast. This statement was prepared on 17 September 2026.
